For quality, affordable simultaneous interpretation
for your next meeting or event
The Madison Interpreters' Collective (MIC) provides quality, affordable interpretation services to make community, academic and governmental events and meetings more inclusive and accessible. Need an interpreter for your next meeting? Community forum? Workplace training? Call the MIC!
The MIC advocates for broader participation by non-English speakers in public events by offering interpretation services. We encourage organizations and government to make interpretation a standard component of all public events. Translation of materials is also available.
To arrange for an interpreter, contact the MIC by phone or email as soon as you know you will need one. We cannot guarantee interpreters without sufficient notice. The MIC has a sliding scale based on the kind of organization contracting for services. Please contact us to get a quote for your event. For events or meetings lasting more than one hour, a second interpreter is required to assure quality. There is a two hour minimum charge for events. Equipment for simultaneous interpretation is available to rent from the MIC for $25/day. If your organization has limited resources, ask about our scholarship fund.
